Abstract
Zip-Zoom: Straight to the Moon, is a platform game where players are tasked with collecting parts of Commander Zooms space-craft and setting off to the moon and defeat the evil alien overlord: King Kroll!
Target Audience
Zip-Zoom is a game for all, especially focused toward the casual game market but also for those gamers who remember classic platform games like Mario and Megaman.
Platform
Platform is for the web and windows based machines as the game will be available for browser play and downloadable as an .exe file.

Game Mechanics
The main mechanics of the game are navigating the levels by jumping upon platforms, avoiding enemies and collected parts of the space-craft.
The enemies within the game follow pre-determined paths which gives the player the opportunity to learn their movements in an effort to clear the level without losing any lives.
Once each part of the ship is collected the next level will load, keeping the game moving quickly.
Players have no weapons at any point. The final boss fight with King Kroll is homage to Mario Bros., where the player must hit a button at the other side of the screen to drop King Kroll into a pit of lava.
Controls
The main character of Commander Zoom is controlled via the keyboard, using the arrow keys for movement and the spacebar for jump.
Scoring
There is no specific scoring system within the game.
Win and Lose Conditions
To win the game, the player must navigate all 5 levels and defeat the final alien boss. The player is given 5 lives to get through all the levels and the final boss, loss of all these lives will result in the player losing and having to start again.
Level Design
Level 1:
First simple level to introduce platforming and ladder climbing mechanics. Player climb the purple ladder and jump from platform to platform to collect the first piece of the space-craft.

Level 2:
Players must climb platforms and avoid the electrified barrier to collect the pickup

Level 3:
Players climb ladder 1, avoid flying enemies around platforms and climb final ladder at end to collect pickup.

Level 4: Players climb the first ladder and must jump to platform while avoiding the enemy who is patrolling on top.

Level 5: In the final level, players must avoid the electrified barriers at the start and then make it past the patrolling enemies.

Launchpad: This is a short linking level, players simple walk into the spacecraft and it takes off.

Showdown: The final battle with King Kroll. Players must avoid his fireballs and make it to the large red button at the right hand side of the screen to drop King Kroll into a pit of lava.
Story
Commander Zoom (you) has been chosen to embark on the greatest mission in human history. To go to the moon!
Sadly however, the WSO (World Space Organization) have hit some budgeting problems due to the current economical climate and do not have the resources to put Commander Zooms spacecraft together.
He is therefor charged with collecting and building his space-craft from pieces scattered throughout the WSO facility.
However, even after he has assembled the craft, the mission isnt over. What waits for Commander Zoom on the Moon?

The game has a pixel art style with simple levels and block colours. All art and characters were created using pixel by pixel drawing in the Scratch programme.
